Sarah Linden is brought back into her detective work when the investigation into a runaway girl leads Stephen Holder and new partner Carl Reddick to discover a string of murders which connect to a previous murder case Linden worked on. By the time it became clear that he was innocent of killing his wife, it was too late. The tension built up as Sarah - and, by extension, we the viewers - waffled back and forth about Seward’s guilt. That hour was the writers at their very best. * We learned that both Kallie and Angie (the girl who’d initially got away) were murdered by Skinner.
